Observations and emotions provided by every day life is what drives the music of singer/songwriter Jean Goode. Once known for leading a two-piece band called Transit Venus, and after releasing a full album called "Change Doesn't Change" in April of 2008, Jean has gone solo to bring you the mellow yet uplifting quality she has been working towards. Growing up in upper Manhattan, New York City, she has been able to acquire influences ranging from Hip-Hop and R&B to Latin music, all of which have molded her sound into something you may have never heard before.

Over the course of 2008, and after having released the Transit Venus album, Jean had been contacted by a few producers to remix the single "This Is", one of which was Carlos "¡EL CUCUY!" Cortes of Portland-based DJ duo Assemble The Empire. After having completed the remix, Carlos and Jean had decided to collaborate on a few songs, which led to the realization of obvious musical chemistry that shouldn't have been ignored—and wasn't. At the end of 2008, the two began to work on a full album together, which is currently in progress. Demos of possible choices for the album can be heard on Jean's SoundCloud page.

Other than her steady collaborations with Carlos Cortes, Jean is often known to collaborate with best friend and occasional music-creator, Asteroid Belt. In fact, in January of 2009, she released a web single called "I Keep Going" which was co-produced by him. The single was described as "ethereal, the kind of song you would hear on the soundtrack of a fantasy film..." in a review by Radio Morillo of music blog boomboomchik.com. Most recently, Jean and Asteroid Belt decided to merge under the name Bad Life Plus Gadgets, after remixing "Write It On My Left Arm", a song off of Logan Lynn's latest album, "From Pillar To Post". She also contributed background vocals to Logan's album on a song titled "Feed Me To The Wolves". Another past collaboration was with hip-hop artist, Skyzoo on a "This Is" remix produced by J. "Sonograd" Thompson.

When Jean is not busy writing new songs, she is 1/2 of the infamous "Pedestrian License" podcast, in which her silly personality comes to the forefront. She is also known for her artwork which can be viewed at brainwaye.com, and practices photography on her free time. Apart from these things, however, singing and songwriting have continued to be the therapeutic medium in which she expresses herself best. She also hopes to inspire people to support the Elevated Social Theory; an idea she believes can help accelerate the improvement of mankind through positive interaction and intentions.
