The Designer
Jean Goode, the sole designer of Brainwaye, is a creative force to be reckoned with. Dabbling in all aspects of creativity from music to photography has helped develop a refreshing and well-rounded approach to her designs. She's been a graphic designer since 2002 after graduating as an Art Major from the famous Fiorello H. LaGuardia High School of Music & Arts and Performing Arts which played a part in sharpening her artistic skills. After graduating, she went on to do work for famous New York DJs such as DJ Kay Slay, DJ Whoo Kid, DJ Envy, and Sickamore in a print shop based in Harlem. She then went on to work for Wu-Tang Music Group designing CD Album artwork and promotional items. Other clients under her belt include rapper Skyzoo, and the Hip-Hop duo Kidz In The Hall.
Despite her past design experience deeply soaked in the Hip-Hop and R&B genre, Jean is very versatile and strives to bring originality to every piece she works on. She understands the design elements required for different projects which have attracted clients such as Derek Jeter's own Jeter's Leaders Foundation, First Magazine, and Alternative Rock/Pop artist Tim William among others. Having the advantage of being able to do her own artwork, she has also designed all artwork for her Alternative Rock band Transit Venus, as well as pieces for her solo music projects.
When not designing, Jean is hard at work attempting to lighten the world's mood by spreading the word on the Elevated Social Theory. When she's not doing that, she's usually writing a song, singing, or recording an episode of her podcast called Pedestrian License with her best friend. Currently, Jean is brewing a fresh cup of chai latte along with design ideas she hopes to share with you.
